Wayne Brautigam Obituary

Wayne A. Brautigam, age 80 of Oswego, passed away on Friday March 3, 2023 at his home with family by his side. He was born November 29, 1942 in Chicago to Charles and Dorothy (nee Dau) Brautigam.

After graduation, Wayne worked for FedEx, UPS and settled in a career with the State of Illinois Transportation Department until his retirement. He was proud to have served as Lieutenant with the Glenbard Fire Department, which merged into the Lombard Fire Department. He was a Cubs fan and enjoyed Nascar, looking forward to the annual trip to the Chicago Speedway with his daughter Kim.

He is survived by his wife, Jean (nee Claeys) Brautigam whom he married on October 24, 1975 in Wheaton, IL., his children David Brautigam, Scott (Sara) Brautigam, Todd (Heidi) Brautigam and Kim (Dusty) Kreider; grandchildren Payton and Noah Brautigam and his brother in law Art (Susan) Claeys.
