It is with broken hearts and endless love that we announce the passing of our beloved son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, boyfriend and friend, Stone Walker Antrim.
Stone was a 2024 graduate of Oswego High School and was a straight-A student at Waubonsee Community College, where he was working toward earning all of his ASCE certifications & pursuing an associate’s degree in automotive technology. He was intelligent, driven, hardworking, and quietly determined to build a successful future for himself.
Stone began working at Remes Auto Body of Westmont IL during high school, starting in his sophomore year leading into his junior year in 2022. Through dedication and hard work, he continued there full-time through the present, working alongside his brother Steel and his Uncle “Monkey” (Michael Antrim). He loved the automotive world and took pride in learning, building, fixing, and working with his hands. Stone had a passion for cars, motorcycles, music, and craftsmanship. He built and loved his 1975 Chevrolet Nova, his 2007 Chevrolet Corvette with custom exhaust and cam work, and his Harley-Davidson fat-tire Sportster Forty-Eight motorcycle. He played guitar and earned his black belt in Taekwondo when he was just in junior high.
Stone had a quiet spirit, a sharp sense of humor, and a presence that left a lasting mark on the people around him. Those closest to him knew his love often showed itself in the little things, sharing time together, helping someone without being asked, sitting nearby in comfortable silence, making people laugh unexpectedly, or simply showing up when it mattered. He did not always need many words to say a lot. Stone shared a deep bond with his family, especially his parents and his brother, Steel.
He is survived by his loving parents Angela and Ted; his brother Steel; his girlfriend Mandy Tsang of Oswego; his grandmother Sylvia Shadwell of Decatur; grandparents Laura and David Antrim of Clarendon Hills; his Uncle Michael Antrim of Westmont; Aunt Amy and Uncle Mike McCurry of Clarendon Hills; and cousins Micah, Abbie, Noah, and Elizabeth, along with many extended family members, friends, coworkers, and loved ones who will carry his memory forever. Stone’s passing leaves a space that cannot be filled, but his family continues to feel him in everyday moments, memories, music, laughter, and the countless reminders of the life and love he shared with those around him.
