Steven Nelson Life Story

With deep love and profound sorrow, we announce the passing of Steven Nelson, who left this world on February 12, 2026, at the age of 58.

Steven lived in Oswego, Illinois, where he built a life rooted in hard work, love, and dedication to his family. He was a beloved husband, father, son, and friend whose strength and steady presence meant everything to those who knew him.

Steven was married to his loving wife, Amanda, and together they shared a life filled with devotion and care. Above all else, Steven was the most devoted dad. His greatest pride and joy were his children, Ethan, Elijah, and Alivia, whom he loved deeply and unconditionally. His family was the center of his world, and his legacy will live on through them.

Steven was known for his strong work ethic and determination. He opened Fineline Collision in 1996 and expanded the business in 2017 to multiple locations.  He was a hardworking man who always gave his best. He also enjoyed spending time at the gym, staying active, and pushing himself — a reflection of his discipline and drive.

Steven is survived by his wife, Amanda, his children Ethan, Elijah, and Alivia, and his mother, Beverly Nelson. He is also survived by his sister-in-law, Jaclyn; her husband, Sam; their son and his nephew, Max; brother-in-law, Bobby; and nieces, Loren and Brittney. Steven also leaves behind his lifelong best friend, Mark Amerio, whose friendship meant the world to him. He is reunited in heaven with his father, Charles Nelson, and his brother, Scott Nelson, who preceded him in death.

Steven will be remembered for his love, his strength, and the unwavering devotion he gave to his family. Though our hearts are broken, we are grateful for the time we shared with him and the love he gave so freely.
