Scott was born on September 1, 1962, in Chicago, Illinois. He attended St. Hyacinth Elementary School and
graduated from Gordon Tech high school in 1980. He was very involved with Boy Scouts and became a Life
Scout. He enjoyed the family scouting camping trips with many other friends and families. After high school,
Scott received an associate degree and pursued owning several successful businesses including a trucking
company and ultimately became an agency owner at Allstate insurance.
In 1992, he married and moved to Aurora, Illinois and then to Oswego, Illinois where he resided for 23 years.
In 2002, his beloved son, Landon was born. Scott made Landon his top priority which led him to coaching him
in soccer, basketball, and baseball. Those were some of the best times shared by Scott, Chris, Landon, and all
of the families that participated in the travel sports programs together. Scott’s greatest pride and joy was
watching Landon’s accomplishments in school, sports, and life. When you talked to Scott, Landon was always
brought into the conversation.
Scott’s hobbies and interests included golfing, country music, water and beach activities, fishing, sports, and
cooking. When Scott was the chef, he was at his best at family and friend gatherings. He used them to rate
his dishes (especially his newly made-up recipes). The Food Network was his favorite channel to watch on TV.
Scott loved getting together with family and friends and sharing good times through conversation, games, and
food.
Even though Scott left us too soon, he leaves behind many family members and friends who will miss him
greatly.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, November 11, 2023 at St. Anne Catholic Church 551 Boulder Hill Pass in Oswego, IL.
