He was a man of deep faith and conviction, and his life was a testament to his unwavering faith in God. Born and raised on a farm in rural Iowa, Ron's early years were shaped by the values of hard work, perseverance, and a strong connection to the land. Due to his father's health issues, the family later relocated to Monroe, IA, where Ron attended and graduated from Monroe High School. His pursuit of higher education led him to Cedarville University in Cedarville, OH. It was during his time at Cedarville University that Ron married his beloved wife, Martha Brong. They were married on August 25th, 1961. Their union was blessed with three children: Stephanie, Andrea, and Jason. Ron and Martha's marriage was a testament to their enduring love and commitment, spanning an impressive 63 years. Ron's professional life was marked by dedication and a strong work ethic. He enjoyed a successful career at Aetna Life and Casualty, where he worked diligently until his retirement. Following his retirement, Ron's entrepreneurial spirit led him to establish a home inspection service. Additionally, he and his wife, Martha, owned and operated Serendipity School for 17 years, leaving a lasting impact on the lives of countless children. A man of deep faith, Ron was an active member of Harvest New Beginnings Church in Oswego, IL. His faith was the cornerstone of his life, guiding his actions and providing him with solace and strength. Ron is survived by his loving wife, Martha; their three children, Stephanie, Andrea, and Jason, and their spouses; ten grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
