Patricia Everett

Patricia Everett, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend, passed away peacefully in Oswego, Illinois on August 24, 2024 at the age of 91. Those close to her will remember Pat as a loving, generous and kind person who always put the needs of family and others first.

Pat grew up in the small, rural town of Caplinger Mills, Missouri. She was the proud daughter of Jesse and Myra Offield and caring sister to her brothers Dane and Douglas.  She had a life-time passion for art, from a young girl to her later years as she became a gifted artist in watercolor and other art forms.   

Pat shared 48 wonderful years of marriage with Thomas Everett. Their journey began in business school, when a college buddy bet Tom that he couldn’t get a date with her.  Struck by her beauty and poise, Tom was determined and won the bet. They shared a lifetime of love, happiness and unwavering support for each other - whether it was enjoying a simple picnic outside their mini-camper home as newlyweds or through their expansive travels across the country and faraway lands.

One of her greatest joys was raising her family. Pat was a loving and devoted mother to Frances and Russell and proud grandmother and great-grandmother to many – all of whom she deeply adored. She is fondly remembered for her compassion, patience and encouraging ways.

Pat is survived by her brother Dane (the late Jean) Offield, brother Doug (Denise) Offield, daughter Frances (Mohammad) Ardestani, son Russell (Nancy) Everett, grandchildren Philip (Dina) Jones, Matthew (Alex) Jones, Kevin (Katie) Jones and Mickey (Megan) Jones and great-grandchildren Levi Jones, Indy Jones and Sidney Jones. She was preceded in death by her husband Tom, parents Jesse and Myra Offield and son-in-law Edward Jones.  

Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 31 at 10:30 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM at the Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home at 216 Second Street Monett, Missouri, followed by the burial at Monett I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
