Nancy C. Leslie

Nancy C. Leslie age 68, of Plano formerly of Richmond, Virginia, passed away suddenly at her home in Plano on the evening of Thursday, August 10, 2023. 

She was born on December 8, 1954 in Virginia.  Nancy spent much of her life in Richmond, Virginia where she was a school bus driver. She moved to Illinois, about 13 years ago to be closer to her daughter Angela and her family. 

Once she moved to Illinois, she truly lived her days as a proud grandmother. She spent as much time with her grandson Mateo as she possibly could. He was the light of her life and she truly loved to hear him play the cello. Nancy loved animals, and enjoyed reading a good book, and she had her handful of t.v. shows that kept her attention, like the Real Housewives, anything about Vampires and of course, The Golden Girls. 

Nancy will always be remembered for the immense love and dedication she had shown to her family. 

She is survived by her daughter Angela Vazquez and her husband, Adrian; grandson Mateo; sisters Deborah (Lonnie) Provo, Jeannie (Gary) Orye and Barbara Musick; Nieces and nephews Asia Provo, Jason Musick, Mark Musick, Brandon Herrera, Keith Provo, Kyle Provo and the late Kenneth Provo; Nancy also leaves behind her Illinois family, Francisco and Cheryl Vazquez, Efrain Vazquez, Maxine Vazquez and Carson Smith. 

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August  15, 2023 from 4:00-8:00 p.m at Bauman Family Funeral home and Cremation Services Inc. 5600 Route 34 Oswego, IL. 60543. Family and friends are invited to gather 9:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 15, 2023 at the funeral home where funeral services will begin at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery.
