Leonard Hansen

Leonard W. Hansen, age 72 of East Dundee, passed away on Friday, August 12, 2022. He was born on August 27, 1949 in Arlington Heights, IL. to Leonard E. and June Hansen (nee Brunzo).  In 1970, during the Vietnam Conflict, Lenny was ordered to active duty by the Unites States Navy. He served until his discharge in 1972. Lenny then began a successful career with Northrop Grumman retiring after 43 years. In his spare time he enjoyed to bowl, fish, golf and spend quality time with his friends. He was the devoted father of Travis Hansen and Ryan Hansen;  loving son of the late Leonard E. Hansen and the late June (the late James) Thacker; dear brother of Jim Thacker, Kevin (Jeannine) Thacker, Heather Hansen and the late Diana Hansen; fond uncle of  Kailee, Celina and Lucas Thacker; former husband of Janice Hansen and the late Donna Hansen. Lenny also leaves behind his faithful companion, puttycat.  

A Celebration of Life will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, August 21, 2022 at V.F.W. Post 2298 117 S. 1st. Street West Dundee, IL.
