Lawrence Allen

Lawrence Allen passed away on Wednesday May 17 2023 in Montgomery IL at the home of his daughter, surrounded by his family. He was born January 24th 1948 in Kalamazoo MI. Larry is preceded in death by his father ( Donald), mother (Jane ) and brother (David) . He is survived by his wife Elaine, his daughters Patricia (Glenn) Griegel, Alicia (Adam) Moore, and Amanda (Dan) Stotler, brother James, sister Helen, 8 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.

Larry was an incredible husband, father and grandfather. He was also a loved and respected friend. While his hobbies included photography and golf, he most enjoyed spending time with family.

He spent his career working at Fermi National Laboratory. He also volunteered his time at a non-profit, sitting on the board of trustees. After retiring, Larry focused on his photography, selling his prints and entering photo competitions where he won a number of ribbons.

He will live on in the memory of the many people who loved him.

Visitation Saturday, May 20, 2023 12:00-3:00 p.m. at Bauman Family Funeral Home 5600 U.S. Route 34 Oswego, Illinois 60543. Funeral Service will begin at 3:00 p.m. Interment will be at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery at a later date.
