Ki-Lee Lynn Lanham, a beacon of love and selflessness, passed away suddenly on December 12, 2025, at the age of 29. Born on December 1, 1996, in Aurora, Illinois, Ki-Lee was a cherished soul whose radiant smile and generous spirit touched the lives of all who knew her.
Ki-Lee's early years in Aurora were filled with the warmth of a close-knit family. She was the beloved daughter of the late Thomas Lanham Jr. and was lovingly guided by her paternal grandpa, Tom Lanham. She was also the granddaughter of maternal grandparents, Steven and Kristie (McCarthy) Mammen. Her family was her fortress, and she was a central figure within it, sharing her life with her siblings Dallis (Sam), Jordan, Roberto Jr, Madison (Brian), Peyten, Domeniki, Delia, D'Angelo, Deziree, and Derrion. Ki-Lee was also a devoted aunt to Ameera, Tommy, Emersen, Natalie, and Laine. Her aunts Kerri, Kelli, Cassi, Sherry, Angie, Brenda, and Edith will remember her fondly, as will her countless cousins and friends who were like family to her. She was preceded in death by her father, Thomas Lanham Jr., her grandfather, Tom Lanham, and her grandmother, Dolly Edens.
Professionally, Ki-Lee was known for her leadership and dedication. For six years, she excelled as a manager at Crocs and Hey Dudes, where she was not only respected but deeply loved by her colleagues for her hardworking and kind nature. Ki-Lee's work ethic was unparalleled, but it was her ability to lead with compassion and humor that made her truly exceptional.
Beyond her professional life, Ki-Lee was an adventurer at heart. Her love for her dogs, Koda, Kane, and Kash, was a testament to her caring and nurturing spirit. She was a dog mom through and through, and her pets were a source of boundless joy and companionship.
Ki-Lee's essence can best be described as loving, adventurous, and selfless. She had the rare ability to light up a room with her presence, her laughter filling the space with joy. Her hugs were known to be the best, enveloping loved ones in comfort and warmth. Ki-Lee's big heart was always open, and she lived to help others, whether it was through a kind word, a funny joke, or a helping hand.
To say Ki-Lee will be missed is an understatement. Her absence leaves a void that cannot be filled. Yet, her legacy of love and kindness will live on in the hearts of those she has left behind. Ki-Lee’s life was a gift to us all, and her memory will be cherished forever.
