Juan Aguilar Vanquez, born on January 17, 1987, in Mexico, passed away on April 23, 2026, in Chicago, Illinois.
Juan came to the United States around the age of 10 and built a life marked by hard work, devotion, and a deep love for the people around him. He spent 14 years as a valued employee of ACS of West Chicago, where he worked as a cement worker, forklift driver, and welder. Through his steady hands and strong work ethic, he earned the respect of his coworkers and the appreciation of all who knew him professionally.
Juan was the beloved son of Christina Vazquez and Martin Aguilar. He was a devoted husband to Maritza Garcia whom he married on November 10, 2011, and a loving father to Michelle Aguilar, Anthony Aguilar, Giovanni Aguilar, and Delilah. He was also a caring brother to Mayra Aguilar and Martin S. Aguilar. Family was at the center of Juan’s life, and he took great pride in supporting those he loved in every way he could.
From an early age, Juan showed the same dedication and helpful spirit that would define his life. He was a devoted son who helped his father with milk deliveries and assisted his mother in selling Jello’s at games. He even recalled driving for the first time “by accident” while operating his father’s work truck, a memory that reflected both his adventurous nature and the many ways he learned by doing. These early experiences helped shape a man who was resourceful, dependable, and always ready to lend a hand.
Juan was known for being charming and easy to befriend. He had a warm presence that made people feel welcome, and he formed friendships wherever he went. He loved to cook and grill, and he especially enjoyed throwing parties and feeding his friends. For Juan, happiness often came from bringing joy to others, and he did so generously and without hesitation, regardless of the cost. His home and his table were places of comfort, laughter, and togetherness.
He was also the kind of person who could fix almost anything. Family and friends often turned to him for help with cars, appliances, and countless other repairs, knowing he would do his best to make things right. His hands were skilled, his mind practical, and his heart willing. Juan took great pride in being able to support himself and his family, and he carried that responsibility with dignity and strength.
Juan will be remembered as a generous, handy, and loving man whose life was defined by service to others and devotion to his family. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him, especially in the many lives he touched through his kindness, his hard work, and his unwavering desire to make others happy. He leaves behind a legacy of love, resilience, and quiet strength that will not be forgotten.
