Jose Francisco Navarro Sr., born on January 28, 1949, passed away on April 18, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, hard work, and deep devotion to the people and passions that shaped his life. He was a loving, friendly, and kind man whose presence brought warmth and steadiness to those who knew him. His life was marked by dedication to his work, pride in his skills, and a genuine care for family, friends, and community.
He is survived by his loving Wife, Leo Tovar; Sons, Jose F. Navarro Jr., Juan Ramon Navarro and Alex Navarro; Sisters, Juana Maria Navarro, Bertha Lilia Navarro and Virginia Navarro; and Brother in Law Antonio Navarro.
Jose spent approximately 30 years working for Caterpillar, where he was known as a dedicated professional who took great pride in doing his job well. His work ethic was matched by his practical talents and wide range of abilities. He held a pilot license and was highly skilled in electrical and HVAC work, demonstrating both discipline and craftsmanship in everything he did. He approached each task with patience and confidence, and he earned the respect of those who worked alongside him.
Beyond his career, Jose was active in the community through the softball league connected to the Caterpillar Union. He enjoyed being part of the team and valued the camaraderie that came with playing the game. Whether on the field or among friends, he appreciated the fellowship that sports and shared experiences could bring. He was also an avid fan of boxing, baseball, and football, and he especially loved cheering for the Cowboys.
Jose found great joy in the outdoors. He loved fishing, birdwatching, and building birdhouses, and he took satisfaction in spending time in ways that connected him to nature. He was happiest when working with his tools, and he took great pride in tending to his flowers and caring for the spaces around him. His hands were always busy with something meaningful, and his talents reflected both skill and heart.
Music and movement were also part of the rhythm of Jose’s life. He loved to sing and dance, and he was known to sing along with his cousins, creating moments of laughter and togetherness that will be remembered fondly. He enjoyed the simple pleasures of life and embraced them fully, bringing energy and joy to the people around him. He also loved riding his Harley and treasured the freedom of the open road.
Jose was the kind of person who was always there whenever someone needed help. He offered support without hesitation and showed his care through action as much as through words. He loved telling stories, talking with his cousins, and heading out with friends for breakfast on Fridays. These moments reflected the social and generous spirit that made him so beloved. He valued connection, and he made others feel welcome and appreciated.
