Jennifer Kaye Life Story

Jennifer K. Kaye (Polowy), known affectionately as Jenni to her loved ones,
passed away peacefully on June 13, 2025, at Lightways Hospice in Joliet, IL.
Born on October 30, 1971, in Chicago, Illinois, Jenni's vibrant spirit and
infectious enthusiasm for life left an indelible mark on all who knew her.
Jenni grew up in Glendale Heights and was a proud 1989 graduate of
Glenbard North High School. Her athletic prowess shone brightly during her
school years, and she carried that passion to Peru State University, where she
excelled as a competitive basketball player. As a proud Bobcat, she
demonstrated not only her skill on the court but also her unwavering team
spirit and leadership.

Jenni is survived by her three children Jeanne(24), Mykenna (20) and
Anthony (14). Her children were what made her days and lit up her life. The
special bond they all shared was magical. From watching Mykenna play
basketball to Jeanne’s appreciation for her willingness to put her kids first to
seeing her and Anthony just joke around, the bond was fierce between each
of them.

Her love for sports was paralleled only by her love for her family. Jenni was
the cherished sister of Dan (Robin) Polowy, Kimberly Grant, and Jason (Lisa)
Polowy. She was the adored Aunt of Joshua, Jake, Julianna, Madyson,
Kendall, and Delaney, Sara and Andy, whose lives she enriched with her boundless love and
support. Jenni's role in her family extended far beyond titles; she was a
cornerstone, a fierce protector, and the embodiment of unconditional love.
Jenni's interests spanned a wide range of passions, from her legendary love
for Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bulls of the 1990s to her enthusiasm for
country music icon Luke Bryan. She was known for her savvy shopping skills,
always on the hunt for a great deal. Her competitive nature made her a
formidable opponent in any sport she played, particularly basketball and
softball.

Like her father, Jenni had an immense love for the sun and the beach, finding
solace and joy in the warmth and tranquility they provided. Trips to the beach
with her family brought true joy. Her dedication to her nieces and nephews

was unmatched, and she supported her entire family in any way she could,
always ready to defend and champion their causes with courage and tenacity.
Those who knew Jenni would describe her as loving, kind, and courageous.
She was "all in" when it came to her affections, fiercely defending anything for
her children, whom she adored above all else. As Anthony says, “She was
hard to hate.” Her legacy is one of love, laughter, and the courage to stand up
for what she believed in.

In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to the go fund me
established to support her children’s future along with medical bills or a
donation to the Lightways Hospice of Joliet.
