Deacon Ismael Pineiro

Ismael Pineiro, Sr. was born on June 17, 1944 to Martin Pineiro and Maria Cruz. He was the 3rd born out of 14 children (7 boys and 7 girls). He grew up in a close knit Catholic home in the mountains of Cayey, P.R. He graduated from High School in Cayey in 1962. He married the love of his life, Virginia Carrasquillo, on 11/23/1968 (on her 24th birthday). Ismael and Virginia had 3 children. Ismael, Jr. born 9/19/1969; Dr. Laura Pineiro-Hanchett born 7/22/1971; and Maria de Lourdes Claycombe born on 10/21/1974. He was ordained as a Deacon in 1993 at St. Peter Canisius Catholic Church in Chicago, IL. For 40 plus years he was an active member of his church community in Chicago and later in Clermont, FL. He acted as a spiritual counselor to many during those years and served the Church. Ismael dedicated his life to his family and to his church. He lived a life of service and was a living example of faith, humility, and dedication to all that came to know him.

    In life he was predeceased by his parents Martin and Maria; his brothers Carlos and Ramon; and his darling Virginia. He is survived by his 7 sisters: Francisca, Ana, Mercedes, Carmen, Marta, Ana Maria, and Laura; his 4 remaining brothers: Juan, Domingo, Luis and Martin, Jr.; his 3 children: Ismael Jr., Laura and Maria; his 7 grandchildren: Mario, Jr., Javier, Laurie, Laleigh, Michael, Daniel and Harper; 2 sons in law: David Claycombe and Jason Hanchett; his daughter in law Rebecca Sarah Pineiro; his step-granddaughter Sydney Hanchett; and his granddaughter in law (married to Javier Claycombe) Kelby Claycombe who has been blessed and is expecting.

      Ismael was called by our heavenly father to join him in paradise on 12/20/22 at 4:44 am. He has been reunited with his beloved Virginia, his parents and his 2 brothers. His light can now be seen high in the sky and is as gloriously remarkable as his life was on earth. He achieved beautiful outcomes by simply being a good, caring and loving human being. We will miss him, but we are proud that we had the privilege to call him Dad, Grandpa (Papi) and brother. Rest in peace you beautiful and kind soul. Rest easy. See you in Heaven. We love you.

Ismael Piñeiro, Sr. nació el 17 de junio de 1944. Sus padres fueron Martín Piñeiro y María Cruz. Fue el tercero de 14 hijos (7 niños y 7 niñas). Creció en un hogar católico muy unido en las montañas de Cayey, P.R. Se graduó de la escuela secundaria en Cayey en 1962. Se casó con el amor de su vida, Virginia Carrasquillo, el 23 de Noviembre de 1968 (en su cumpleaños número 24). Ismael y Virginia tuvieron 3 hijos. Ismael, Jr. nacido el 19 de Septiembre de 1969; Dra. Laura Pineiro-Hanchett nacida el 22 de Julio de 1971; y María de Lourdes Claycombe nacida el 21 de Octubre de 1974. Fue ordenado diácono en 1993 en la Iglesia Católica St. Peter Canisius en Chicago, IL. Durante más de 40 años fue un miembro activo de la comunidad de su iglesia en Chicago y más tarde en Clermont, FL. Actuó como consejero espiritual de muchos durante esos años y sirvió a la Iglesia. Ismael dedicó su vida a su familia y a su iglesia. Vivió una vida de servicio y fue un ejemplo vivo de fe, humildad y dedicación a todos los que llegaron a conocerlo.

     Le antecedieron en muerte sus padres Martín y María; sus hermanos Carlos y Ramón; y su esposa Virginia. Le sobreviven sus 7 hermanas: Francisca, Ana, Mercedes, Carmen, Marta, Ana María y Laura; sus 4 hermanos restantes: Juan, Domingo, Luis y Martin, Jr.; sus 3 hijos: Ismael Jr., Laura y María; sus 7 nietos: Mario, Jr., Javier, Laurie, Laleigh, Michael, Daniel y Harper; 2 yernos: David Claycombe y Jason Hanchett; su nuera Rebecca Sarah Piñeiro; su nietastra, Sydney Hanchett; y su nieta política (casada con Javier Claycombe) Kelby Claycombe quien ha sido bendecida y está embarazada.

       Ismael fue llamado por nuestro padre celestial para reunirse con él en el paraíso el 20 de Diciembre de 2022 a las 4:44 am. Se ha reencontrado con su darling Virginia, sus padres y sus 2 hermanos. Su luz ahora se puede ver en lo alto del cielo y es tan gloriosamente notable como lo fue su vida en la tierra. Logró hermosos resultados simplemente siendo un ser humano Bueno y cariñoso. Lo extrañaremos, pero estamos orgullosos y agradecidos de haber tenido el privilegio de llamarlo papá, abuelo (Papi) y hermano. Que descance en paz tu  hermosa y bondadosa alma.  Te veremos en el cielo. Te amamos.
