Chastine Elaine Macalinga Cruz Life Story

Chastine Elaine Macalinga Cruz, also know as Chaz, Enna, Enze, peacefully passed away on June 15, 2025. She was surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on June 5, 1971 in Quezon City, Philippines. She immigrated with her family to the United States of America in 1982.

Chaz was a loving and caring wife to her husband, Ed Cruz, for 17 years. Together they loved and cared for their fur babies, Gizmo and Wrigley. Chaz is survived by her parents, Rachel (Maglonzo) and Ferdinand Macalinga, her brother, Jonathan, and his wife, Cindy (Corcuera), her sister Jasmine, and her husband, Henry (Young). Chaz was surrounded and loved by a multitude of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and God children. She loved all of her nieces, nephews, and God children as her own. Spoiling them, making jokes and laughing with them, and being their "go to" adult when they had nowhere else to turn.

Chaz's professional life was as colorful as her personality. From event planning at Rotary, to dealing poker, managing the Poker Room at Aria, to attending Paul Mitchel, and leaving her mark at Madison Reed, she lived many versions of life in her 54 years.

She was a caring wife, daughter, sister, niece, cousin, and friend. She never met a stranger because she made friends with everyone who crossed paths with her. We were lucky to have had her in our lives and she will forever be missed and loved. May you forever rest in paradise.
