Angel Luis Gandia, born on May 4, 1938 in Manati, Puerto Rico to Angel Luis Gandia and Felicita Gines, passed away on Friday, March 7, 2025 in Aurora, Illinois.
Angel's journey led him from the sun-kissed shores of his birthplace to the heartland of America, where he established a legacy of warmth and dedication. As a talented handyman and carpenter, he built not only houses but also a strong foundation for his beloved family. His skilled hands and creative spirit brought to life the homes that would shelter generations, standing as a symbol of his commitment to providing for his loved ones.
He was the proud father of Gilberto Gandia, Iris (Misael) Ramos, Blanca Ivonne (Jose) Claudio, Jorge Luis Gandia, Angel Javier Gandia, and Victor Manuel (Jenny) Gandia; and step father of Carmen Perez and Blanca Rosario. His legacy further blossomed with 14 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren, each of whom he adored and imparted his wisdom and joy.
Angel's passions extended beyond his professional achievements. His love for horses was matched only by his dedication to his avian companions as a birdkeeper. An avid outdoorsman, he found solace and excitement in hunting with his crossbow, a pastime that brought him closer to nature's wonders.
A man of deep faith, Angel's spirit truly shone through his involvement in the church. He relished every opportunity to preach the gospel, sharing his unwavering belief with anyone who crossed his path. His generosity of spirit and loving nature made him a beacon of light in his community, inspiring those around him to live with kindness and purpose
