Andrew “Andy” J. Lopez, age 40 of Montgomery, IL. passed away suddenly on August 11, 2026. He was Son to Gus and Pat. Brother to Dee, Gussy and Alex. Partner to Velvet Miller. Father to Kyra and Adrian. Grandfather to Adonis. Beloved Nephew of many aunts and uncles. Beloved cousin to many. Beloved Brother In Law to Maggie. Beloved Uncle to Ash, Robbie, Ant, Jay  and Poppy. Great Friend to Many.

One could tell when he was in the room by his loud, infectious laugh. Andy was a great storyteller with a sarcastic sense of humor. Sometimes obnoxious, but always lovable. He was so convincing sometimes to the point where he could sell eyeglasses to a blind man, not to mention the bear hugs that would lift you off of the floor. He loved to play basketball and video games and was a music enthusiast. He was open to anything that would catch his ear. A foodie who loved to cook and was incredibly good at it. He could be philosophical at times and could hold deep conversations. Lastly, he had empathy and compassion for those who needed it, which in turn made him a good human being, and could ask for no more.
