Aaron Nolan Fedanzo-Dudley passed away on September 14, 2024, just one day shy of his 45th birthday. Born on September 15, 1979, in San Francisco, California, Aaron's life was marked by his adventurous spirit, loving heart, and courageous tenacity, particularly during his valiant battle with cancer.
Aaron was preceded in death by his birth parents, Nola Fedanzo and Morris Dudley. Aaron's journey then continued as the cherished son of Nick and Denise Iwaniw. He was a beacon of joy and support to his sister Joy Williams and her husband Jerry, and his brother David Iwaniw. He was a fun-loving uncle to Dylan, Marissa, and Olivia Williams. He was also a beloved member of an extensive family that included numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins who held a special place in his heart. Aaron also shared a special bond with his brothers-in-law, Steve, Craig, and Paul Bower, who were not just relatives but friends.
Aaron's academic journey was as fulfilling as his personal life. He graduated from Reed Custer High School before earning his degree in Education from Eastern Illinois University. His passion for teaching and shaping young minds led him to a fulfilling career in education. Aaron taught at Wilmington Elementary School, Woodview Elementary School, served as an Assistant Principal at Lakewood Creek Elementary, and was a dedicated Physical Education teacher at Plank Junior High and Murphy Junior High. His love for sports was evident in his coaching roles for football and wrestling at Oswego East High School, wrestling and soccer at Plank Junior High, and track at Murphy Junior High.
Aaron's love story with his wife, Mary (Bower), spanned over two decades, and together they raised three beautiful daughters, Hailey, Alexis, and Taylor. His role as a husband and father was one he cherished deeply as his family was truly his pride and joy.
In his youth, Aaron divided his time between Chicago and San Francisco, cultivating a profound appreciation for both cities. His adventurous nature was reflected in his diverse hobbies, which included Jiu-Jitsu, mountain biking, rock climbing, hiking, traveling, reading, camping, and spending invaluable time with family and friends.
Aaron was the epitome of an adventurous soul, a loving family man, and a courageous individual. His presence was a source of strength and inspiration to all who knew him. His legacy is not only etched in the hearts of his loved ones but also in the countless lives he touched through his teaching and coaching.
As we bid farewell to Aaron Nolan Fedanzo-Dudley, we celebrate a life lived to the fullest, marked by enduring love, inspiring courage, and boundless adventure. His memory will continue to shine brightly in the lives of those he loved and the many who loved him. Aaron's journey on earth may have concluded, but the stories of his life, the lessons he taught, and the laughter he shared will resonate for generations to come.
Memorial Visitation for teachers, parents and students will be held on Friday, October 11 2024 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
A second visitation for family and friends will take place on Saturday, October 12, 2024 from 1:00-4:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
